How she moves Running is my main passion – of course! It constantly challenges me, helps me clear my mind after a stressful day and can fit in to my schedule no matter how busy I am. I’m training for two marathons at the moment.

Apart from running, I love Pilates, kettlebells, boxing and bellydance. That might seem like an odd combination but I find that they compliment each other really well – for example, bellydance is amazing cross-training for runners as it really works the core and glutes, two areas that we runners often forget to train – and the variety means that I’m never bored.

Favourite pair of kicks Vibram Five Fingers. I made the switch from bulky trainers to minimalist running shoes about 18 months ago and never looked back. It has made such a difference to my running style, I’m a stronger runner and have much better form. I love how free and easy running feels when I’m wearing them and they take up hardly any space in my bag so they can travel wherever I do.

Favourite piece of kit Apart from the Vibrams, my Garmin 305 – because I’m a bit of a geek and love being able to review all the data from my workouts – and my iPod, because the right music really gets me in the zone. I have different playlists for every workout imaginable!

Description of what you are wearing in the picture Vintage jersey dress from Sonea Patel. She was Fashion UK’s designer of the year a few years back and was the first designer that really got me thinking that being sporty didn’t mean that I had to turn my back on fashion.

Favourite active wear brand and why Just one?! I have so much active wear that I’d say 70% of my wardrobe is Lycra-based. I love that there is now so much choice for fashionistas who want to work out, instead of the ‘shrink it and pink it’ approach from brands 10 years ago. I love Sweaty Betty, Nike and Adidas for functional yet stylish sportswear, Work Out Life and Wellicious have the most gorgeous yoga and Pilates kit – really luxurious fabrics, clever detailing and flattering fit and Lucas Hugh and Hey Jo! leggings are something else – they look amazing and perform really well during even the toughest workouts.
