Sweaty Betty has unveiled a unique collaboration with fashion designer Richard Nicoll for an exclusive SS15 women’s capsule collection and let me tell you ladies it’s fab and ever so fashion-forward.
Set to launch in February 2015, the collaboration fuses Richard Nicoll’s iconic colour palette and prints with Sweaty Betty’s specialism in technical, high performance active wear. In my opinion, this is just the right kind of fashion injection that Sweaty Betty needed, because to be honest this iconic British active wear brand was starting to get left behind by smaller, cooler and niche active wear labels that seem to be popping up frequently online.
‘This collection is about a modern itinerant woman. It embraces travel, fitness and the work-life balance, so it made sense that a strong element of active wear was included. As a premium British brand and global market leader, I was naturally drawn to collaborate with Sweaty Betty and its expertise,’ said Richard Nicoll.
The 10-piece apparel collection is crafted from highly technical fabrics and prints inspired by Japanese patterns. Reflective touches give the line a strong sports edge, creating a collection that is innovative and artistic, functional and technical.
Sweaty Betty Founder and Creative Director Tamara Hill-Norton said the collaboration happened naturally: ‘We were drawn to work together. We share the same ambition of inspiring women by disrupting the status quo. Richard understands our customers’ lifestyle; living the lifestyle himself. I’m really proud of what we have accomplished together. This collection is the perfect mix between innovation and playful elegance.’
The ‘Sweaty Betty X Richard Nicoll’ collection will be available online and in selected stores from early February 2015. http://www.sweatybetty.com/sb-for-richard-nicoll/
